We are thrilled to welcome Mounir Kiwan

Mounir Kiwan joins our Melbourne office as a Director – Public Affairs.

GRACosway’s Melbourne office has been bolstered by the arrival of highly experienced government and communications professional, Mounir Kiwan.

Mounir brings a broad set of skills and diverse knowledge base to GRACosway, built over 15 years’ working across government relations, corporate affairs and strategy, public policy and stakeholder management.

His public sector experience has seen him hold senior roles in the Victorian Government, including most recently as a Deputy Chief of Staff to the Victorian Minister for Industry Support and Recovery, Trade & Business Precincts, Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events and Minister for Racing.

GRACosway’s clients will benefit from Mounir’s experience at the forefront of the industry response to the COVID-19 pandemic in Victoria, where he worked to provide critical support to government, industry associations and business stakeholders throughout the height of the crisis.

In the private sector, Mounir led the Corporate Affairs and Government Relations function for multinational engineering/technology company Robert Bosch Australia, assisting with its manufacturing transition and supporting the advent of new engineering and product development projects. In this role, Mounir received a global Communications Award for Bosch Australia’s 2016 partnership with the Victorian Government in the “Highly Automated Driving” category as part of the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) World Congress.

Mounir was previously the General Manager for the Federation of Automotive Products Manufacturers (FAPM) and was a business development executive with global electric vehicle (EV) start-up, Better Place, based in Silicon Valley.

With additional skills in corporate restructures, company governance and commercial partnerships, Mounir’s extensive network of political, corporate, industry representatives and personal contacts can be brought to bear across strategic planning, project delivery and issues management for GRACosway’s clients.

Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Laws from LaTrobe University, Mounir has also held non-executive roles with retailer The Co-op and the Society of Automotive Engineers Australasia (SAE-A). Connect with him on LinkedIn.
