GRACosway a Leader in the 2015 Mergermarket Survey

The FY2015 Mergermarket league tables were published on 27 January 2016, and despite some intense competition from the large global agencies, highlighted a very strong performance by GRACosway. Our firm was ranked as the #2 Australian-based PR/communications adviser in the Asia Pacific by deal value (US$11.05 billion of qualifying transactions), and #7 across the entire region.

“This is an excellent result for GRACosway”, said GRACosway CEO and Founding Partner Les Timar. “It further validates the belief we all strongly hold that our firm is the leading choice for communications support on large and complex transactions in Australia, and a top-10 choice in the Asia Pacific region”. Some of GRACosway’s transaction highlights for 2015 include: DUET’s acquisition of Energy Developments; Affinity Equity Partners’ shareholdings in Nine Live and Virgin Australia’s Velocity frequent flyer program, as well its disposal of Primo Smallgoods; the tussle for Affinity Childcare; and Vocus Communications’ successful acquisition of Amcom. A number of these transactions leveraged GRACosway’s joint market leading capabilities across both financial communications and public affairs.

By deal count, our 7 qualifying transactions placed GRACosway at #3 among Australian-based firms, and #17 across the Asia Pacific.

It’s been a promising start to 2016, and we look forward to another successful year of achieving the transactional outcomes sought by our clients.
